Travelling Tattoo Artists
With two tattoo expos in Melbourne (and another in New Zealand) this month, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland have been flooded with travelling tattoo artists. Check out tattooexpo.com.au for a full list of artists. Check out who is in the country, which artist’s work catches your eye and get in contact with them.
Inked Australia/NZ Magazine
Issue 16, with the Miss Inked 2013 Winner and Runner-Up on the cover, has hit newsagents and select 7-11 outlets. You can read my review of the issue here. If you’re quick, you may just snatch up a 2-1 package, with some issues coming with a back issue of Inked Artists magazine, featuring Paul Booth.
VICE: Tattoo Age
This online video series is one of my favourites as it features some of the world’s best and most respected tattoo artists. There’s a reason why I consider Tattoo Age to be one of the Tattoo Videos You Need To See. The Season 2 finale will be available online at Vice.com from November 10.
Surf n’ Ink Tattoo Festival
For the fourth year, the annual Surf n’ Ink Tattoo Festival will take place on the Gold Coast. The Radisson resort will host the event from January 11-13. The festival boasts talented tattoo artists from around Queensland and the world. With the likes of Teneile Napoli and Benjamin Laukis, I wouldn’t hesitate otherwise someone else will snap up your appointment. The full list of artists and vendors can be found here.
